You guys doing okay? Yeah, doing well.

Thank you, thank you for asking. Uh, so with me I have Pauga; he’s the principal of Smart Gladiator and the innovator for this product, Load Proof. As you know, we are meeting for custom categories—this is a feature I’m going to give you a demo of. But before jumping onto that, Pauga would like to get some feedback from you regarding the product.

Yeah, thank you for setting this up, John. Thanks for taking the time to join this call. You know, it’s very important that we execute our mission correctly. One of our missions is to create this product to make life better for VO operators like yourself and your people who are spending time on the floor. What has the experience been so far? You guys have completed almost a year now. How is it working out? Are you happy? What are your thoughts?

The experience is great. I think it worked very well, especially as our claims department became more accustomed to using it. It’s already saved us a lot of money. I haven’t done a proper analysis to give you a number, but I can see countless instances. I have to approve or deny customer claims on damaged or short products. When the transactions line up, the customer often denies the claim, but seeing a picture of it makes a difference. The customer has no choice but to pay the claim or invoice in full.

It also shows us where we’re at fault, creating transparency for both parties. It’s a smart product, especially as big box retailers are getting better and more aggressive with their claims. Who are the retailers you work with?

Amazon, Lowe’s, Manards—those are the biggest ones. So, you’re able to push back on the automatic detection they do with photos successfully?

Correct, yeah. So how has the adoption been? There are two things: getting the technical implementation right and getting people to embrace it. You can only force people so much; they need to understand the benefits. Change management can be challenging.

It was tough at first for the loaders to get used to taking pictures of every pallet. It felt tedious until they got accustomed to it. There were problems with some loads not being captured or blurry pictures. But once I showed them how we fought off a claim, they understood its importance.

What types of products are you working with?

They are high-value SKUs, mainly power tools. For instance, a rebar bender is worth $22,000, so if it’s damaged, we need to show it was shipped correctly to direct the claim towards the carrier for damage.

Would you recommend Load Proof to others?

Yes, I would recommend it.

Anything else you would like to add, John?

I just wanted to get your feedback. Are there any features that might be useful for you guys apart from what’s available today?

I can’t think of specific features we need. However, when we take a picture of a pallet, it’s important to see the SKU number. Many of our SKU numbers are similar, so clear visibility is crucial.

Could you set up metadata for the SKU?

Yes, depending on how many SKUs you have, you can document them as you take photos.

That’s a good idea. And if you have a barcode, scanning it will be faster, right?

Absolutely. As long as it’s visible, it can be scanned. What devices are you using?

We’re using iPhones.

That’s good. You can definitely scan the barcodes with those. Just keep in mind that adding more data capture means the loaders will need to enter more data. If you have a barcode, that’ll speed things up.

I might remove some unnecessary fields, like the piece count, since it’s not used in the claims process.

You’ll learn a lot more as you go. Customers often want to change things after a few months.

How much have you saved? Is the tool paying for itself?

It’s definitely worth it. Recently, we were able to prove a claim worth $12,000, which is significant.

What about carrier damage?

I saw one recently with three pallets completely damaged. I knew we didn’t ship it like that, so I was able to show exactly how it left our building.

In just the past two weeks, you’ve probably saved around $50K.

That’s fantastic! Thank you for being a customer with Load Proof. If there’s anything else we can do for you, please reach out.

You’re right here in Atlanta, at Georgia Tech?

Yes, my girlfriend is about to graduate from Georgia Tech.

That’s exciting! I’m going to drop off now. Thank you very much for your time.

Thank you! It was a pleasure.
